ReD-ICE, recognised as a world-leader in the provision of transaction processing solutions to the oil industry, wanted to position itself as a provider of e-business solutions. The company's existing collateral and image also needed to be reworked. With our understanding of the intricacies of this specialised market, CARNAC was able to develop a new communications strategy for the client. A revised mission statement and messages were defined with ICE, highlighting the new e-solutions direction. Each element of communication was designed to express this revised mission. The first step was to create a new corporate "look" that would work with the existing branding, but would give a more dynamic impression of the company. A new corporate brochure introduced this new look and CARNAC generated all the textual contents, with specific emphasis on the company's e-business strategy. Completely re-creating Red-ICE's web site also became part of the project. CARNAC worked closely with them to create a site structure that would be able to evolve with their intended future marketing plans. The site was designed to appeal both to new prospects and to long-standing customers. It included core product information and new developments, together with key industry information, links and company news. An electronic monthly newsletter was included in the site and is also sent to a database of customers, industry contacts and prospects. CARNAC writes this newsletter with ICE each month. The new imagery was used to ensure consistency across the company's communications.
